Vertiv is taking the next step with the rollout of the Vertiv Smart Run modular prefabricated overhead infrastructure system that brings a lot of things together, including power distribution busbar, liquid cooling piping, hot-aisle containment, and network infrastructure into a single scalable solution.
It stands out as the one choice to help save on time for deployment, since the prefabricated, plug-and-play design and one-lift installation approach can deliver up to 85% faster on-site deployment compared to traditional stick-build methods, enabling data center installations beyond 1MW per day with just a single crew, while also reducing the engineering and labor burden tied to busway, piping, cabling, and containment integration.
The system is also clearly built with AI in mind, as Vertiv highlighted how SmartRun integrates a secondary fluid network to tackle the whitespace and thermal challenges of next-gen cooling, with prefabricated stainless steel piping designed to simplify design, fabrication, and startup while offering a single end-to-end liquid cooling solution.
The initial release of SmartRun for the Asia region will help solve the intense pressure to scale quickly during the AI era, while also dealing with space limits, labor constraints, and rising power densities. Through SmartRun, clients will have a practical path to accelerate time to revenue, support advanced cooling requirements, and build future-ready facilities without adding operational complexity.
Beyond SmartRun, Vertiv is also pairing it with its Liquid Cooling Services and global services organization for a strong position in long-term support for the ecosystem.
