For gamers eyeing Samsung’s Odyssey series gaming displays or OLED TVs for big screen couch gaming, now is a good time as the brand recently received the news that selected 2026 models are now NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.
The tech eliminates screen tearing or stuttering for a smoother gaming experience, and is essentially the “bread and butter” when it comes to gaming these days. Samsung says several of its upcoming OLED TVs fall under this category, including the OLED S95H, S90H, and S85H. On the monitor side, the new Odyssey G6 series, specifically the G60H and G61SH models
The main highlight is given to the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H), as it is one of the frontier gaming monitors capable of reaching 1040Hz refresh rate, albeit at 720p. But if you choose the native QHD option, it can still run up to 600Hz, which is still a crazy lot, yet this is the standard in the esports scene at the highest stakes.
On the other hand, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G61SH) is more for the “scenery gang”, as the QD-OLED panel with QHD resolution runs at a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GtG response time, as well as supporting HDR10+ for an extra level of immersion.
Lastly, the upcoming OLED TVs, the S95H and S90H models, support refresh rates up to 165Hz, while the S85H goes up to 120Hz, helping deliver smoother motion and lower latency during gameplay, in addition to being certified for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
This year’s OLED lineup also introduces HDR10+ ADVANCED, a new HDR format aimed at improving brightness, contrast, motion handling, and color accuracy across different types of content.
