NVIDIA has recently announced that Returnal’s DLSS integration has been upgraded to DLSS 3 to provide GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers with even higher and smoother frame rates.

Along with that, a new The Lord of the Rings: Gollum DLSS + ray tracing tech trailer is teased, and 3 more titles with DLSS 2 support, so let’s take a look at it.

Returnal was released on PC back in February and features out-of-the-box support for DLSS 2 and ray tracing. And just last week, the title received an update that added DLSS 3 to elevate performance even further. For the GeForce RTX 4090, frame rates have been boosted by 2.2X to offer gamers over 180 FPS.

On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4080 delivers over 140 FPS while other GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards provide over 90 FPS at 4K with all settings and ray tracing maxed out.

Moving on, PC gamers who own a GeForce RTX GPU will be able to relish ray-traced reflections and shadows at the highest frame rates using DLSS 3 and DLSS 2 when The Lord of the Rings: Gollum debuts on 25th May.

What’s more, they can also enhance performance with NVIDIA Image Scaling spatial upscale and sharpening algorithm while lowering system latency with Reflex.
