Sun Cycle Malaysia has officially announced the availability of the new FSP Hydro G Pro power supply to power the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs and possibly the soon-to-be-revealed RDNA 3-based Radeon cards as well.
The latest revision of the Hydro G Pro series products is now an IEC62368-certified PSU with improved safety design while getting more compact without compromising on efficiency. Created to hugely meet the needs of next-generation GPUs, it complies with ATX12V V3.0 and EPS12V V2.92 standards while rated to have more than 90% efficiency at typical load which earned the 80 Plus Gold sticker on its box. Armed with a quiet and long-lasting 120mm FDB fan that can control its speed intelligently, the ribbon cables are made for enthusiasts and casual users that powers components with its powerful +12V single rail design. Composed of 105C Japanese electrolytic capacitors of high quality, enjoy the full range of power-related protections including OCP, OVP, SCP, OPP, and OTP.
Additionally, one of the modular ports is the new PCIe 5.0 connector so that you can light up your new GPU with a single cable.
The 2022 FSP Hydrop G Pro series power supply comes in two flavors of 850W at RM729 and 1000W at RM829.
Personally, I would pay a hundred more for the 1000W to stabilize all the power-hungry components with overhead coverage for even the highest spikes.
