The processor is one of the most utilized models but now it is within an 11.5L chassis. With over 3.1GBps sequential read and 1.8GBps sequential write, tackle large data sets while handling more users at ease. The memory is also ECC paired with Btrfs copy on write feature for guaranteed error-free data processing. For the bays, six 3.5-inch internals provide up to 96TB of raw storage capacity with the ability to bump up to 256TB by adding 2 additional DX517 expansion units for a total of 16 drives.

The caching job will be fulfilled by the 2 M.2 NVMe slots as usual. While there is already a 10GbE port, you can slot in an additional 10GbE card to transfer at a higher rate if you wish. Rounding up the user management suite is the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) for data management, Synology Drive to create an on-premise cloud, or protect your data through more backups with Synology Active Backup.
