Paydibs has announced the new NEO terminal aimed to offer an easy to use and single payment terminal that streamlines all in-store transactions with the power of digital solutions.
The NEO is made to address the problem of “troublesome and fragmented” payment options like stores having multiple small plaques that shows QR codes, card readers, soundboxes, and whatnot – As a single NEO is capable of accepting dynamic DuitNow QR payments for top e-wallets like Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, MAE, Boost and MCash.
Future updates will bring along card payment support (MyDebit, Visa, Mastercard) along with Buy Now Pay Later options, including Shopee PayLater, Grab PayLater, Atome and AhaPay.
Additionally, it is also designed with transparency in mind as it has a dual display for merchant and customer confirmation as well as the bread-and-butter stuff like chip-and-PIN slot, tactile keypad, and multilingual voice confirmations. Merchants can also review their transaction history directly on the device, and larger businesses can integrate it with their POS systems for added operational efficiency.
For connectivity, it supports both WiFi and SIM-based connection, which means both in-store and outdoor usage are supported, while there’s a 12-month Maxis plan at RM30, which is extremely affordable and quick to set up. Powered by a 2600mAh battery, the terminal delivers over 48 hours of continuous operation and meets key certifications including PCI DSS, EMV and SIRIM for compliance and security.
