Paydibs has announced a new partnership with AltPayNet to make cross-border payments less complicated between Malaysia and the Philippines.
By linking AltPayNet’s global payment network with Paydibs’ locally licensed infrastructure in Malaysia, both companies are setting up an interoperable payment framework that supports overseas Filipinos and regional merchants, while staying fully compliant on both sides. What this means in practical terms is that Filipinos living in Malaysia will soon be able to make contributions directly to the Philippines’ Social Security System, which works much like Malaysia’s EPF, using trusted local payment rails.
Paydibs CEO Tee Kean Kang said the partnership reflects the company’s push for more inclusive and interoperable payment solutions, adding that enabling services like SSS contributions helps overseas communities remain financially connected and secure.
From AltPayNet’s perspective, CEO Don Vacal shared that the goal has always been to ensure financial access follows Filipino families wherever they are, and partnering with Paydibs allows them to deliver secure, compliant payment services while also opening up new cross-border opportunities for merchants.
Beyond social security payments, Paydibs has also been appointed as the official payment processor for AltPayNet’s merchants in Malaysia, with transactions routed through approved local payment rails for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Over time, both companies expect the partnership to go beyond SSS contributions and cover a broader range of merchant payments, expanding access for businesses and consumers alike.
Looking ahead, Paydibs and AltPayNet see this collaboration as a building block for a more inclusive and interoperable regional payments ecosystem across ASEAN, one that strengthens financial resilience for overseas communities while supporting sustainable growth for merchants.
