Noctua is famous for its world-class CPU cooler that is normally chonky yet highly performing however the new products they introduced today are aimed at minimum fans or no fan systems.
At first, the new NH-P1 is the one heatsink many fans have requested for quite some time – Thick wide space fins that allow maximum airflow to achieve passive cooling and capable of tackling some of the high-end CPUs with low to moderate heat dissipation. If you want a zero-noise setup in a literal sense, this is what you need. To top it off, the new Torx-based SecuFirm2+ mounting system, NT-H2 thermal compound, and 6-year warranty all come with the NH-P1 as well which is a full suite of passive cooling delivered to you in one go.
Noctua also released the optional NF-A12x25 LS-PWM 120mm fan which is a low speed, PWM-enabled variant of the original NF-A12x25, ideal for enhancing NH-P1 cooling performance if you don’t mind the existence of a fan in your noiseless rig as it only produces a max noise level at 12.1dB yet the returning benefits is a significant performance boost through better cooler headroom. As the fan stops at 0% PWM, it can easily be set up for semi-passive operation so that it will only spin up when necessary. This way, the system will work fanless most of the time but still provide the flexibility to make better use of the turbo modes of more powerful CPUs that require some extra airflow to be cooled adequately under full load conditions.
The suggested retail price for the NH-P1 and NF-A12x25 LS-PWM is USD109.99 (~RM452.64) and USD29.90 (~RM86.38) yet Malaysia should be getting these in the near future.
