Xiaomi has officially launched their latest flagship phablet in Beijing today – the Mi Note 2, packing performance and beauty into a single device just like the tagline – “一面科技,一面艺术”.
The 3D curved glass that debuted with 2015’s Mi Note has made a comeback with dual front and back 3D curved glass. Underneath the front glass is the 5.7-inch ultra-thin flexible OLED panel with a resolution of 1080p. It is known that the display is 6 times more expensive to manufacture due to the extreme complex production process.
Nonetheless, the device also packs a lot of raw power with the Snapdragon 821 SoC paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM. Storage option comes in 64GB UFS 2.0 or 128GB UFS 2.0.
The rear camera gets the Sony IMX318 22.56MP high-resolution image sensor with phase detection + contrast detection AF. Front camera gets the Sony IMX268 8MP sensor with AF.
Powering the device is the 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Rejoice if you’re a frequent traveller as the Mi Note 2 is offering a variant that supports full global band. The phone will come in 2 colour choices – Piano Black and Glacier Silver.
