Gaming gear giant Razer has announced that they are taking another step in delivering sustainable practice in the manufacturing business thanks to the latest award appointed to the Basilisk V3 and DeathAdder Essential gaming mice.

Razer Basilisk V3 ECOLOGO Certification

The duo has come a long way as the former reached the 3rd revision that carries its iconic design across the years with updated modern components while the latter is about the core DeathAdder experience on the cheap. In any case, the award they received in question is UL’s ECOLOGO certification, particularly the UL2710 ‘Outline of Investigation for Sustainability for Portable Electronics’ test. Through this, these gaming mice are now globally recognized as sustainable products.

Not only it is Razer’s first time getting this prestigious award during the times when sustainable business is one of the most important factors to consider, but it is also the first pair of gaming mice across the industry to do so. As a result, Razer’s got another “world’s 1st” under their belt now.

In case you’re wondering what kind of tests they need to go through, it basically drills down to the EU hazardous chemical restricted substance regulations to make sure there’s no skin irritation and sensitization, the process of repair and replacement management covering ease of product disassembly by authorized service providers, selective waste treatment for the product in question, sustainable packaging, facilities and equipment involved during manufacturing, and more.

So this is nice for Razer and definitely hope that more products are getting the same certification in the future.
