NTT DATA is expanding its collaboration with Google Cloud with a new focus on helping enterprises move from AI experimentation to large-scale deployment of agentic AI solutions powered by Gemini Enterprise.
The partnership combines Google Cloud’s AI, data, and cloud infrastructure with NTT DATA’s consulting, implementation, managed services, and industry expertise. The goal is to help organizations integrate AI into core business operations, improve productivity, accelerate deployment timelines, and maintain governance, security, and compliance requirements as AI adoption grows.
As part of the initiative, NTT DATA is launching a dedicated global Gemini Enterprise practice and aims to certify 5,000 Gemini Enterprise specialists worldwide. They are also working with Google Cloud on a roadmap to develop up to 500 AI agents covering both cross-industry and sector-specific use cases, creating reusable building blocks that can speed up enterprise AI adoption.
The expanded partnership will see NTT DATA rapidly design, build, and deploy AI solutions across enterprise workflows. Thousands of AI-skilled engineers, including forward-deployed engineers embedded directly within customer organizations, will work alongside industry specialists and Google Cloud engineers to accelerate development, troubleshoot challenges, and move AI projects into production faster.
Initial focus areas include banking, insurance, manufacturing, and retail, as well as IT modernization initiatives such as cloud migration and software development. The companies also plan to target operational functions including marketing, procurement, and finance with AI-powered automation and optimization tools.
Key elements of the program include a global AI agent development factory model, dedicated joint engineering teams, support for sovereign AI deployments that meet local regulatory requirements, and a growing catalog of pre-built industry-specific AI agents designed to reduce deployment complexity and speed up time-to-value.
According to NTT DATA, the partnership addresses a common challenge facing enterprises today: while AI adoption continues to grow, many organizations struggle to scale deployments beyond pilot projects due to governance, workforce readiness, deployment planning, and infrastructure limitations.
Recent client surveys have shown 99% of enterprises believe AI is increasing demand for cloud investment, while 88% say current cloud spending levels are creating risks for AI, cloud-native, and modernization initiatives. Through its expanded work with Google Cloud, NTT DATA aims to help organizations align their AI ambitions with the cloud infrastructure needed to support enterprise-scale deployments.
