NTT DATA has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud that benefits the Asia Pacific markets because they will be providing cloud-based data analytics and generative AI solutions to them pretty soon.

NTT DATA x Google

The collaboration sees NTT DATA’s industry expertise and established client base merge with Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics, AI, and cloud capabilities to become a stacked and well-rounded set of tools and solutions for enterprises to discover or continue to be innovative in new fields or further their existing businesses via improved operational efficiency that strengthens business agility.

Other than that, clients will be able to leverage NTT DATA’s established industry frameworks, best practices, and cloud offerings on Google Cloud to gain access to customized solutions for sectors including healthcare, life sciences, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and the public sector.

As part of this expanded collaboration, NTT DATA has established a dedicated Google Cloud Business Unit to create joint solutions centered on data analytics and GenAI, with additional support for applications, modern infrastructure, cybersecurity, and SAP on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

To support effective implementation, the partnership will enhance NTT DATA’s in-house expertise in Google Cloud through advanced training and certification programs. NTT DATA also plans to recruit and train sales, pre-sales, and delivery professionals in Google Cloud technologies, enabling them to market, build, secure, migrate, and deliver these joint solutions to customers. Currently, NTT DATA has 2,600 Google-certified engineers across 50 countries and aims to certify at least 1,000 more within the APAC region.

According to Gartner, Inc., global end-user spending on public cloud services is projected to reach $679 billion in 2024 and surpass $1 trillion by 2027. The rise in GenAI deployments will further boost the demand for modern cloud infrastructure, underscoring the importance of this strategic partnership in APAC, with plans for global growth.

As generative AI relies on high-quality data for effective training and insights, strong data analytics capabilities are essential for successful implementations. Using NTT DATA’s technology and Google Cloud’s data analytics, a major retailer achieved a 22% increase in digital inquiries and an 85% rise in occupancy by optimizing extracted API data.

Key executives from both parties have expressed their enthusiasm and thoughts about the partnership:

“This expanded partnership brings together NTT DATA’s expertise in digital transformation and deep-rooted understanding of APAC’s diverse markets with Google Cloud’s unparalleled AI and cloud innovations. This isn’t just about adopting new technologies; it’s about reimagining what’s possible for businesses in the AI age. Our partner ecosystem is a cornerstone of our growth strategy, and this collaboration with Google Cloud is expected to grow our cloud business in APAC by 10x+ in 3 years.” – John Lombard, Chief Executive Officer, NTT DATA, APAC

“Customer confidence is paramount to deliver on their digital transformation aspirations, and NTT DATA’s comprehensive portfolio, coupled with a deep understanding of evolving customer needs across Asia Pacific, perfectly complements Google Cloud’s AI leadership and innovative solutions.
