By now, most people should have already known AMD Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) will be coming soon. It is the next-generation socket designed to support next-generation AMD Ryzen™ 7000 desktop processors (Zen 4). The liquid cooler bracket for AMD Socket AM5 is the same as AMD Socket AM4*. This enables you to upgrade to AM5 without having to purchase a new liquid cooler. Do note that it requires the motherboard’s dedicated AMD Socket AM5 backplate.
