GIGABYTE has revealed its latest motherboard release called the X870E AERO X3D WOOD, which packs nature with technology through the integration of various elements that you can find in daily lives.
This special model, instead of gearing toward the conventional “gamer” or “super professional” look, has a warm wood-inspired finish with a premium leather pull tab that gives the whole setup a surprising, almost furniture-like vibe. But GIGABYTE is not skimping on stuff, since this is one of its high-end motherboards, it comes with VRM Thermal Armor Advanced, M.2 Thermal Guard L, M.2 Thermal Guard Ext., and a PCB Thermal Plate that boosts thermal performance by 14%, so the system stays cool even when pushed hard. The new X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 uses AI to squeeze out even more X3D performance, and DDR5 memory can clock up to 9000MT/s if you’re chasing ultra-fast responsiveness.
Since it’s built on AMD’s AM5 platform, it supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series CPUs, backed by a 16+2+2-phase digital twin VRM design for stable power delivery. Storage and expansion options also stay top-tier, with dual PCIe 5.0 slots for graphics and four M.2 slots supporting PCIe 5.0/4.0 x4. GIGABYTE also equipped it with an 8-layer back drilling PCB to improve signal integrity and timing accuracy, helping the board maintain reliability under heavy loads.
Connectivity is equally stacked: 2x 5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7 with a directional ultra-high gain antenna, 2x USB4 Type-C ports with DP-Alt, and HDMI output. And if you’re into ease-of-use touches, the board adds practical conveniences like DriverBIOS with pre-installed Wi-Fi drivers, M.2 EZ-Flex with a flexible thermal baseplate, WIFI EZ-Plug for quick antenna setup, and screwless M.2 EZ-Latch Click & Plus slots.
In a growing trend of wood-accented PC builds, the X870E AERO X3D WOOD stands out as one of the unique choices among system builders for blending high-end hardware behind a pretty finish.
