Some of you might know that we have previously reviewed the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L mATX chassis. The highly compact and clean design has caught our attention which we had chosen to upgrade our LAN party rig.

The chassis has become so popular that many customers out there have been demanding Cooler Master to release another variant which could support at least up to ATX boards. There, my friends, is how the MasterBox Q500L is born.

First of all, some of you might be thinking that Cooler Master is just upsizing the Q300L and call it a day, don’t you? In fact, they have re-arranged the internal layout, by moving the power supply to the top-front chassis to allow an ATX motherboard to fit into the motherboard tray. It can even support graphics card up to 360mm length. All without tempering the overall footprint of this little compact case.

In terms of cooling, the top, bottom, front and rear panels are fully perforated to offer better airflow planning when building the PC around this case. It comes together with two magnetic and one standard dust filters to reduce the dust built up in the case.

The specially designed front IO panel can also be moved around depending on how you decide to position the chassis. With that said, just like the Q300L, the Q500L can also be positioned either vertically or horizontally.

The MasterBox Q500L is now available in Malaysia, priced RM 199.
