Remember our post regarding Cooler Master’s announcement in CES 2018? Well, we’re lucky enough as Cooler Master Malaysia sent us a lot of things that was announced on CES 2018! We did mention that the Cooler Master Q300L is a good-looking case, and that’s where we’re starting!

The Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L is an mATX case that is cubical is shape. Rather symmetrical, too. Cooler Master obviously built the case with modularity in mind, as the I/O panel can be relocated to a total of 6 different positions, and the side panels can be rotated and swapped too, if you wish to do so.

With that said, the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L has a total of 3 drive mounts – two 2.5-inch drive mounts at the front, and a single 3.5-inch drive mount behind the motherboard tray. To give you an idea of how much space there is behind the motherboard, I managed to fit in my forefinger and middle finger in the gap. Or, you can fit in a screwdriver in there too.

As the MasterBox Q300L is a fairly open case with vents everywhere, proper cable management is needed. Also, the case does come with the two beautiful mesh dust filters that has an orthogonal 3D cube shape. A pretty unique design, if you ask me.

Yes, the two mesh filters are snapped onto the MasterBox Q300L with magnets.

Since the MasterBox Q300L is an mATX form factor case, it’s actually quite suitable for HTPC builds and potentially for open test benches too, since the case is littered with holes.
