COLORFUL has released a new flagship motherboard model called the iGame X870E VULCAN OC, and it has been getting some heat lately thanks to the latest record of pushing an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D to a massive 7335.48MHz.
The board is made to deliver high yet stable wattage, advanced cooling, and gamer-focused tuning while looking extremely slick for a baller build through the deep black finish, chunky multi-layer metal heatsinks, and a fin-array cooling structure paired with a full-coverage backplate to keep things stable under sustained heavy loads.
There’s also a customizable iGame Smart LCD next to the VRM area with a 268×800 resolution, integrated RGB lighting, and system monitoring support, which gives users both functional feedback and that extra visual flair inside a showcase build.
Under the hood, it runs a 18 + 2 + 2 phase layout with 110A DrMOS stages, dual 8-pin CPU power connectors, and a server-grade 10-layer PCB with electroless silvering. Memory support is equally aggressive, with dual-channel DDR5 officially rated up to 10400MT/s and compatibility for both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO.
For hands-on tweakers, the board includes on-board shortcut buttons for quick adjustments, a debug LED for real-time diagnostics, dual BIOS with a hardware switch, and external BLCK frequency adjustment for more granular tuning control. On the connectivity side, it’s fully in step with modern expectations thanks to PCIe 5.0 x16, five M.2 slots including three PCIe 5.0 interfaces, 5GbE LAN, and built-in Wi-Fi 7.
And of course, it is tailored for the X3D chips thanks to the X3D AI Turbo feature and 1-click OC physical button on the rear I/O. There’s also an X3D AI High Frame Rate Mode baked into the BIOS, automatic optimization of base clock and PBO parameters, and multiple manual profiles for those who still want full control.
