COLORFUL just dropped their very first AMD X870 motherboard, and it looks pretty slick from the get-go.
The model is called CVN X870 ARK FROZEN, and it’s built specifically for AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 Series chips. Aside from following the brand’s usual military-style design, COLORFUL did say that this one takes inspiration straight from aircraft carriers, but I do like the white base and orange accent reminiscent of the Asiimov craze from Counter Strike.
Aside from the big frost gray heatsinks, the titanium gray PCB is going to work well in most builds. And performance-wise, it’s rocking a 14+2+1 power phase setup, which is more than enough to handle top-tier chips like the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Plus, it’s got 5G LAN and Wi-Fi 7 for super-fast connectivity, supports super low-latency DDR5-6400 C28 RAM, and you can find the X3D Game Mode in the BIOS too.
Oh, they also have the CVN Pullout Switch that allows one-click GPU removal with minimal struggling and risk of connector snapping.
