Aside from announcing new gaming laptops thanks to Intel announcing the new 12th Gen Core mobile processors, Acer Predator is also not forgetting the desktop gamers by revealing newly refreshed Orion 5000 and Orion 3000 prebuilt rigs with several new 4K gaming monitors.

CES 2022 Acer 3 1

Sporting a brand new dark chassis with darkened glass, plastic, metal, and mesh, the Predator Orion 5000 combines a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 alongside 4000MHz of DDR5 RAM (Max 64GB) and up to 2TB PCIe storage to tackle even the most graphically demanding games. The range of I/O is okay at 3x USB-A and 1x USB-C while the connectivity part is handled by Killer E3100G 2.5G Ethernet Controller and Intel Wi-Fi 6E combo. On the other hand, the ARGB-infused Predator FrostBlade fan on the Orion 5000 cools off the heaty components effectively with the transparent side panel created to be anti-EMI to keep off those pesky static sparks.

For the Orion 3000, the GPU is down to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 with the RAM option becoming DDR4 with everything else staying pretty much the same. Just a rig that is less powerful for less cost for the less power-hungry guys.

For the gaming monitor part, the new Predator X32 and X32 FP are crafted with care and performance to deliver the best and balance 4K gaming experience through the 32-inch panel with 165Hz of refresh rate that also boasts the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification thanks to the 576-zone miniLED local dimming and spectacular color accuracy with Delta E<2 and 99% AdobeRGB color gamut coverage. The X32 fitted with NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE to provide the best in class HDR contrast with ultra-low latency through NVIDIA Reflex while eliminating screen tearing while the FP model also comes with an HDMI 2.1 port that allows the device to be used with the latest consoles of Playstation 5 and Xbox One X and a side note, it instead uses AMD FreeSync Premium Pro in place of Team Green’s similar offering. Oh, a USB-C port can also be found that offers 90W of power delivery.

Want some even bigger? Then the Predator CG48 is here to get the job done at a whopping 48-inches long that displays 4K content at a quirky 138Hz refresh rate and up to 0.1ms response time. The backport reveals HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 to allow the connection of both PC and consoles without any hassle while a bunch of USB 3.2 and USB-C ports lets you connect all your peripherals at once. Powered by the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, the OLED display leverages a 135,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10, and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage for a very appealing visual fidelity.
