Initially revealed at COMPUTEX 2026, GIGABYTE is now ready to push the AORUS P1600W premium PSU for systems running power hungry GPUs for heavy duty task and local AI workloads.
The 80 PLUS Titanium-certified unit comes in a 160mm long package, and it is using GaN tech to improve power density and efficiency, alongside a digital power design for more precise power delivery. GIGABYTE also equips it with 100% Japanese capacitors, aiming for long-term reliability whether the system is used for marathon gaming sessions or continuous AI workloads.
The fully modular design allows it to host enough output ports to handle up to 4x GPUs, and the brand also bundles 2x native 16pin-to-16pin PCIe cables and 2x dual 8-pin-to-16-pin PCIe cables. Aside from that, the iconic LCD Edge View display can show power information directly from the PSU, and can be further customized through GIGABYTE Control Center.
As part of the AI TOP ecosystem, the PSU also works with AI TOP Utility, enabling real-time power monitoring during AI workloads. Users can keep an eye on power consumption alongside other system metrics, making it easier to understand resource usage while running intensive AI models.
Cooling duties are handled by a 140 mm double ball bearing fan with intelligent fan control for quieter operation under lighter loads. GIGABYTE also includes a dust-removal feature that briefly reverses the fan at startup or can be activated manually through software, helping keep dust from building up over time.
GIGABYTE will launch the P1600W globally in the near future.
