Razer is happily announcing the expansion of its original 100,000 trees protection all the way up to 1 million.
To give a sense of scale, the original goal was achieved in less than 2 months, mainly due to the community’s love for the Razer Sneki Snek mascot and the current mark is fastly approaching the 150,000 mark, and the company has set additional checkpoints which are 250k, 500k, 750k and 1 million for more Sneki Snek merchandises to come. For the first one which is the 100,000 mark, the RazerStore Live stream has it covered.
Razer might not be the best gaming peripherals company to you, but their effort to protect the environment as a company is nothing to scoff at. With their support, Conservation International which is a multi-nation NGO is created to secure tree fields and forests around the world such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Suriname, Brazil, Madagascar, and Indonesia among many others. Through innovative tools and technologies, many wildlife and the benefits of forests can be maintained and preserved for many decades to come. Last but not least, let’s not forget the main force backing this initiative which is Razer’s fanbase that with each Sneki Snek merchandise purchased, 10 trees get protected and what do you know, people do like plushies especially a cute little snake to the point where passionate fans literally tattooing it onto themselves. Well dang, take a look at those arts.
What would you like to see for the 250k mark? I personally want a Sneki Snek version of the Razer logo to be printed for a random batch of products and treat them like a special edition item only obtainable through lucky draw.
