Today, Noctua is bringing good news to all compact rig builders because the NH-L9i is now LGA1700 compatible.
Specifically, both the standard brown beige NH-L9i and the full black chromax.black editions are getting the LGA1700 revision to help all the small form factors and ultra-flat HTPC setups adopt the 12th Gen Intel Core CPU including the i9-12900K, i7-12700K or i5-12600K. Additionally, the NA-FD1 fan duct made from EVA foam spacers of varied thickness can further jack up the thermal performance of the coolers by bridging the gap between the fan and perforated case panels in order to enable the coolers to draw in fresh air from the outside more efficiently, and also, you can’t possibly stick more fans into the case if there wasn’t enough from the beginning.
At the height of only 37mm, the NH-L9i is the award-winning low profile CPU cooler due to its easy to install mechanism through the SecuFirm2 mounting system and paired with the NF-A19x14 92mm PWM fan, Noctua has reported that it is capable of taking off as much heat as 160W off the Core i9-12900K at 4.2GHz while staying relatively quiet. Combined with the NT-H1 thermal compound, users can be confident that their brand new shiny 12th Gen Intel Core CPU is performing at its best.
