With a new set of AMD Ryzen 7000 series desktop CPUs announced yesterday, MSI is paving the way earlier for fellow fans by releasing the new BIOS 1004 update for selected B650, X670, and X670E motherboards.
If you need a refresh, the new chips announced are the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700, and Ryzen 5 7600 with a default TDP of 65W so these are essentially the base version of those “X” SKUs but they maintain the core and thread counts so these will be a good choice for those don’t really want to tinker around with their hardware as much.
