The latest post on Microsoft’s news blog is a big one: They are closing a deal on getting Activision Blizzard under their belt.

Microsoft Gaming Activision Blizzard

Yet another big move in the gaming industry since 2020’s Zenimax purchase, Activision Blizzard has been plagued with controversy and negative reports over the past few months surrounding the issues of general misconduct, sexual harassment, and more related to its workplace culture and the associated toxicity tied to those are within the higher management level. Holding major IPs like Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Starcraft, Warcraft series, and more, this could be the move that Activision Blizzard needs to get out of the shithole by removing those who are in the bad and giving that power of creative direction and decision back to the actual game developing team where real talent can bloom and give life to existing and upcoming titles, subsequently raise back to glory to the Blizzard that we once knew and loved.

Aside from this, the integration into the Xbox family means that all of these titles will have no problem getting into the XCloud streaming service, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass where subscribers get to play the games within the subscription period. Truly some real happy and fun news for fellow Xbox gamers.

As of the time of writing, Activision Blizzard and Microsoft Gaming will continue to operate independently until every legal step has been fulfilled and transitions fully completed.
