Intel has officially unveiled their 11th Gen Tiger Lake CPUs for laptops. The new processors will come with the all-new, upgraded integrated Xe graphics, Thunderbolt 4 support, and WiFi 6. Apart from the obvious changes, Intel also claims the new chip will have a huge leap in performance while maintaining long battery life.

11th Gen Intel Core Processors

The new 11th Gen lineup will be built on the 10nm node which we first saw on the 10th Gen Ice Lake SKUs. Nonetheless, Intel has refined the design with 10nm SuperFin for better power efficiency.

There are a total of 9 SKUs at launch which consists of both U-series and Y-series chips.

The demo also showcases the performance of the new integrated Xe graphics. As you can see from the screenshot, it offers better graphics performance compared to an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U as well as a 10th Gen chip + NVIDIA GeForce MX350.

Unfortunately, the Iris Xe is only available for the Core i7 and i5 models, leaving the Core i3 models with the dated Intel UHD Graphics.

New Logo

Apart from the new CPUs, Intel has also announced their new company and Core series logo. The new design is more simplified than ever and one thing we noticed missing out from the logo will be the generation indication. We’re not sure why they removed it as some non-tech-savvy consumers are referring to the stickers to identify their CPU generation.

Expect the partnering laptop brands such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI and Samsung to release their new products with 11th Gen Intel CPU very soon.
