HP Malaysia has revealed the new 2022 edition of the OMEN 16 and Victus 16 gaming laptops to serve the needs of triple-A gaming better than ever.

OMEN 16

The new OMEN 16 gathers all the latest computing power to provide gamers with the best gaming experience possible through reengineered parts such as a beefier cooling solution with additional heat pipes now counting to 5 and a 4th outflow vent that shrunk the GPU hinge by 3% and SSD temperature as much as 14% while performing 5% quieter compared to last gen. HP’s own OMEN Dynamic Power function within the OMEN Gaming Hub smartly adjusts the power balance between the CPU and GPU to maximize each percentage of the Lithium-Ion battery. Displaying the visuals is the QHD 165HZ IPS panel with a 3ms response time and 100% sRGB color gamut aided by low blue light certification by TÜV Rheinland and auto-brightness sensor.

For the main brains of the system, buyers can opt for either the Intel Core i7-12700H or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX for the CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6650M for the GPU.

Victus 16

As for the Victus series, the Victus 16 returns maintaining its core ideology of a much more affordable gaming experience on the fly – in short, a less powerful OMEN counterpart. Therefore, the parts are either the same or a slightly weaker model, being equipped with either an Intel Core i7-12700H or AMD Ryzen 7 6900H together with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU or AMD Radeon RX 680M. Despite the screen maintaining the 16-inch form factor, the refresh rate is down just a bit to 144Hz which is completely fine for most casual gamers.
