GIGABYTE has just unveiled its latest Z890 PLUS Series motherboards, featuring Ultra Turbo Mode and the 2-DIMM D5 Duo X memory design to maximize performance for the latest Intel Core Ultra Ultra 270K Plus and 250K Plus processors.
To begin with, the GIGABYTE Z890 PLUS Series’ exclusive Ultra Turbo Mode allows Intel Core Ultra 200S Series (K-SKU) users to unlock up to 40% more performance with a single click across three levels — Intel 200S Boost, Turbo Mode, and Extreme Mode — each progressively enhancing gaming and system performance.
The series is also led by Elite Duo X and Force Duo X motherboards featuring the new D5 Duo X memory technology, which supports the CQDIMM standard while maintaining compatibility with CUDIMM. This design enables high-capacity memory within a 2-DIMM configuration while maintaining high speeds, reaching up to DDR5-10266.
On top of that, the Z890 PLUS Series is equipped with a Digital Twin 16+1+2 phase VRM design and VRM Thermal Armor Advanced to maintain stable power delivery and cooling under heavy workloads. It also introduces M.2 EZ-Flex, a flexible base that improves heatsink contact with SSDs for better thermal performance.
Plus, the series features a UD Base Plate that strengthens structural rigidity and protects the PCB during installation. For easier system building, GIGABYTE integrates several EZ features including WIFI EZ-Plug and DriverBIOS for simplified Wi-Fi setup, EZ-Latch Plus and Click for tool-free M.2 and PCIe installation, and the updated UC BIOS 2.0 interface for a smoother configuration experience.
Connectivity-wise, the Z890 PLUS Series boasts features 5GbE LAN and Wi‑Fi 7 with a high-gain directional antenna for low-latency networking. It also includes a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot with M.2 Thermal Guard for ultra-fast storage, alongside USB4 Type-C with DP-Alt and DisplayPort support for high-resolution displays and fast data connectivity.
With that said, the GIGABYTE Z890 PLUS Series — including the Elite, EAGLE, FORCE, and Duo X models —will be rolled out to the market in stages soon.
