It’s confirmed that AMD will be launching its new 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper CPU this November, but that’s not the only thing that you’ll be seeing at its launch. Just like the Ryzen 3000 series desktop CPUs, the new 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper will be accompanied by a new TRX40 chipset motherboard as previous rumors suggest.

The alleged TRX40 chipset motherboard was teased on Gigabyte AORUS South Africa’s tweet a few days ago, with multiple hashtags such as #motherboard #ryzen #amdryzen #threadripper which suggests that this could be a teaser for one of its upcoming TRX40 chipset motherboard.

While AMD has yet to announce the actual launch date for its new 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper CPU, rumor has it that both the new Threadripper CPU and TRX40 chipset motherboards will come to light on November 5th.

It is still unknown whether the 3rd Gen Threadripper will be supported on X399 chipset motherboards, but if we look at what AMD has to offer with its X570 chipset motherboards and Ryzen 3000 series desktop CPUs, features such as PCIe 4.0 and better memory compatibility is probably something that we can expect to see on the TRX40 motherboards and 3rd Gen Threadripper.
