Just a couple of days ago, fellow NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series users might have seen some new selectable options in the Settings menu of Cyberpunk 2077 because, yes, DLSS 3 is officially here for the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 Comparison 1

It is well known in the gaming space that CD PROJEKT RED’s cybernetics-augmented AAA title is pretty hard to run when every graphical setting is cranked to the max even with the latest and greatest computing hardware. But with DLSS 3 now entering the space, the game now more life-like in addition that sweet high FPS smooth, buttery experience. Taking advantage of the AI-powered technology’s DLSS Frame Generation that works in a low-level environment with the game engine, huge performance leaps are easily achievable.

On top of more frames in general, the game already houses several ray-tracing elements such as shadows, reflections, diffuse illumination, and ambient occlusion, or even ray traced global illumination bouncing all sun rays across the city found in the Psycho Mode profile in the ray-traced lighting settings. Additionally, in the future, the upcoming Overdrive Mode promises to take the RTX experience to new heights but of course, nothing is too hard for DLSS 3 at the moment.

Cyberpunk 2077 Power Comparison

Team Green also showed off a power consumption chart to show that the RTX 40 series card is just purely more efficient in general, even though the RTX 4090 can easily eat up more than half of a 1000W PSU’s budget.

Check the side by side comparison video down below if you’re like me without any of that money to run the game it deserves.

Be sure to download the latest GeForce Game Ready driver and update Cyberpunk 2077 to enjoy of all these good stuff.
