With the rise of edge AI products, high-speed storage needs to be smaller and smaller in order to store an enormous amount of on-device data in these little systems. That’s what Biwin has been engineering and producing for years – coin-sized NAND storage done with proper SSD packaging, with the latest model being the CL100 Mini SSD.

Biwin CL100

As one of the brands with leading technology and manufacturing capabilities, eMMC and UFS are basically “relics of the past” to them, as the CL100 is capable of pushing up to 3700 MB/s read and 3400 MB/s write speeds through PCIe 4.0 x2 via NVMe 1.4, despite being just 15.0 mm x 17.0 mm x 1.4 mm, while capable of packing up to 2TB inside this little body.

Built on advanced LGA packaging that combines the controller and flash into an ultra-compact footprint, the CL100 is ready to be integrated into things like ultra-thin laptops, mini PCs, handheld gaming devices, and similar form factors. It is also IP68 dust and water-resistant, durable enough to survive drops up to 3 meters.

Biwin RD510

On the other hand, the RD510 Mini SSD Reader is made for the CL100, providing speeds of up to 3300 MB/s read and 3000 MB/s write over USB 4.0 with a simple USB C-to-C cable that comes with the box. And the best thing is that everything is plug-and-play with cross-platform support, removing every hassle of looking for dedicated drivers and whatnot.

With this release, Biwin continues to look forward to providing high-speed storage solutions in a miniature form to propel edge computing to the next generation.
