Famous German PC cooler and fan brand be quiet! has decided to give the gaming peripheral market a shot by introducing the new Dark Mount and Light Mount gaming keyboards.

be quiet! Dark Mount

First off is the Dark Mount, and right off the bat, it is quite unique as it has a detachable Numpad, essentially making the main board a TKL if the user wants to keep it compact. And yes, you don’t need to stick it on the right side either, as you can place it on the left for some southpaw action.

It also comes with 8x programmable keys that have little screens on them, capable of being custom-labeled with a 140×140 image for shortcuts, macros, or apps. Want more buttons? Then use the Media Dock for controlling those things.

And as expected, the palm rest is split as well, with the magnetic riser offering three angles to help users adjust to their comfortable typing angle. Other than that, it hosts an aluminum plate and as full ARGB lighting to go with see-through doubleshot PBT keycaps for anti-oil stain and long-term use.

be quiet! Light Mount

On the other hand, the Light Mount is a standard full-size keyboard, but the programmable aluminum-milled 3D media Wheel is the one-stop hub here as it offers a tactile way to control volume, mute, or even custom actions, in addition to the 5 macro keys on the left.

It also comes with per-key ARGB, a top LED bar, and 2x underglow strips for full rainbow ooze, while the modular magnetic palm rest and fold-out feet round up the package.

Similarities

Under the hood for both the Dark Mount and Light Mount, they feature be quiet!’s own silent switches of Orange Linears and Black Tactiles, and they are factory-lubed and hot-swappable. And we can’t forget about the layers of foam and dampening materials inside them that creates the thocky and creamy sound.

Lastly, both of them are readily supported by the IO Center software, or there’s the web-based version for customization on the go.
