ASUS’s latest products are a couple of new WiFi 6 ready routers to serve houses of any size and multiple forms of use cases.
First up, the new ZenWiFi XD6 AX5400 is confident to stomp out all sorts of dead spots within your premise with its 5400 square feet super-wide coverage while providing a high data transfer rate of up to 5400Mbps on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency band. The internals is powered by a 3-core 1.5GHz CPU to sustain the load transfer supported by the Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and multi-user, multiple input, multiple output (MU-MIMO) technology that reduces overhead for better latency and stability. Software-wise, the Instant Guard protective feature allows you to set up a VPN easily that is fully shared and synchronized across all nodes while Parental Controls lets you block access to sketchy links and websites all through the ASUS Router app for iOS and Android.
On the other hand, the TUF Gaming AX5400 is designed for dedicated gaming use as its highlights revolve around the Link Aggregation feature for both WAN and LAN connection that enables 2Gbps wired connection through virtual port bonding as well as extra-large coverage through 4X4 MU-MIMO configuration, OFDMA (a WiFi 6 necessity by the way), and support for ASUS’s AiMesh. Certain extra gaming functions such as Game Port to prioritize game data packets and OpenNAT for easy port forwarding are appreciated as well for those that need to use them.
The ASUS ZenWiFi XD6 AX5400 is currently available for purchase on Lazada and Shopee alongside authorized dealers while the TUF Gaming AX5400 will be released at a later date.
