ASUS Malaysia has announced the news of the new Vivobook 15X and Vivobook GO 15 for the local market and yes, these are budget-centric devices with great value.

ASUS Vivobook 15X 1

Firstly, we have the Vivobook 15X, which is a relatively simple laptop that prioritizes practicality over extravagant aesthetics, allowing you to use it anywhere without standing out.

Internally, it is equipped with either an Intel Core i5-1335U or AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 512GB PCIe storage. This means that whether you need a low-power CPU for business purposes or enough power for video and photo editing, the Vivobook 15X has got you covered.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p and is certified to emit low levels of blue light and is flicker-free. The battery has a capacity of 42Whr and supports USB PD, allowing you to forego the need for a power brick when necessary.

I/O and connectivity options include 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port with Power Delivery, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a full-size HDMI 1.4 port, and one USB-A 2.0 port. The laptop supports WiFi 6E for wireless connectivity.

Noteworthy features include an AI-enhanced webcam with a privacy shutter and noise-canceling audio technology.

ASUS Vivobook GO 15 1

On the other hand, the Vivobook GO 15 is very similar to the 15X, with the main difference being limited CPU options, specifically the AMD Ryzen 5 7520U. It also emphasizes a lighter and thinner design to highlight its “Go” aspect.

Apart from these differences, the remaining specifications are practically identical. However, multiple SKUs will be available, offering variations in RAM capacity (8GB or 16GB) and screen panel types (TN or IPS).

Price and Availability

The Intel model of the Vivobook 15X will be priced at RM3,099, while the AMD variant will cost RM3,199. Both models are expected to be released this month.

The Vivobook Go 15, with 8GB of RAM and a TN screen, is priced at RM2,299 and is currently available (surprisingly). The version with 16GB of RAM and an IPS screen is only RM200 more, bringing the price to RM2,499, and will be launched shortly.
