Following the official announcement from AMD, ASUS has finally revealed their own edition of the Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX graphics cards under the TUF Gaming series.
As the top 2 flagship models of the Radeon RX 7000 series, the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX features a 3.63-slot occupation that will surely take up quite a lot of space inside one’s rig, and the card as usual features 24GB of GDDR6 VRAM with 384-bit memory interface on top of the 6,144 stream processors for absolute performance in 4K gaming.
The TUF Gaming branding also means that it is built with durable materials and reinforced construction that starts with a rigid die-cast frame where the aluminum backplate and shroud are melted. The new cooling design includes a 22.8% larger total heat dissipation area and Axial-tech fans pushing more airflow along the edge of the backplate. The Dual BIOS switch easily switches the card between performance and quiet mode or gets in down and deep with the GPU Tweak III software.
If you don’t know already, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX will not use the controversial 12VHPWR port and instead just your usual 8-pin PCIe connector and you’ll need 3 for this card. Ports-wise, there’s one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 2.1.
As for the Radeon RX 7900 XT, it features 5,376 stream processors and 20GB GDDR6 VRAM with a 320-bit memory interface. Both models will have a GPU holder to prevent sagging because these cards are chonky and large.
ASUS also let us know that they recommend an 850W PSU for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 750W for the Radeon RX 7900 XT and the best ones to go with the TUF Gaming series cards are the TUF Gaming Gold PSUs with high efficiency and multiple layers of protection.
While the price and availability for Malaysia have not been revealed just yet, at least we know a total of 4 models will be coming which are the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX, TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT, TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition, and TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT OC Edition.
