ASUS today announced its ZenFone 4 family smartphones at the “WE LOVE PHOTO” Regional Press Event held in Taipei, Taiwan. Among the new devices introduced is the ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro and the ZenFone 4 Selfie.
ZenFone 4 – MSRP $399
Starting off with the ASUS Zenfone 4, it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 / 630 Octa-core processor, 6GB / 4GB of memory, a total of internal 64GB storage, a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p Super IPS display and supports up to 2TB microSD card to meet the current market demand.
Camera at the front is an 8MP f/2.0, and at the back, dual 12MP f/1.8 camera powered by Sony IMX 362 sensor, Dual Pixel Auto-Focus, 4 axis OIS for extra stability when capturing videos and photos.
The ZenFone 4 packs a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging and it is available in 3 colours – Midnight Black, Moonlight White and White Mint Green.
ZenFone 4 Pro – MSRP $599
The ZenFone 4 Pro as its name suggests, is a buffed up version of the ZenFone 4, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage and support for up to 2 TB MicroSD card.
Instead of using a Super IPS display, the ZenFone 4 Pro comes with a much better 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p AMOLED display.
For its cameras, the ZenFone 4 Pro packs a dual rear camera, one with 12MP at f/1.7 featuring the Sony IMX 362 sensor, and another one with 16MP at f/1.9 and Sony IMX 351 sensor. The rear camera features Dual Pixel Auto-Focus and 4-axis OIS for extra stability when capturing videos and photos. At the front, you’ll find an 8MP, f/1.9 camera with Sony IMX 214 sensor.
The ZenFone 4 Pro packs a 3,600 mAh battery with fast charging and is available in 2 colours – Midnight Black and Moonlight White.
ZenFone 4 Selfie – MSRP RM 1,299 (ZD553KL), RM 899 (ZB520KL)
Up next, one of the member in the ZenFone 4 family that is specially tailored for the selfie and wefie lovers – the ZenFone 4 Selfie. It features a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage with support for up to 2 TB MicroSD card.
As a phone that is specially tailored for selfie and wefie fanatics, the role of both front and rear camera has been switched. Rear camera featured a 16MP, f/2.2 with PDAF so that you would be able to capture pretty decent photos without too much issue.
At the front, you’ll find the dual front camera, a 20MP, f/2.0 ASUS SuperPixel Engine, 120-degree wide angle and Softlight flash for a better quality selfie and wefie with ease.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie packs a 3,000 mAh battery and it comes available in 4 colours – Deepsea Black, Mint Green, Rose Pink and Sunlight Gold.
ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro – MSRP RM 1,799 (ZD552KL)
Up next, is another one tailored for the selfie and wefie lovers – the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro. A lovely 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p AMOLED for display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 Octa-core 14nm processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage and supports up to 2 TB MicroSD card.
The front camera packs a 24MP DuoPixel Camera, f/1.8, ASUS SuperPixel Engine,120-degree wide angle and soft light flash for the best selfie and wefie you’ll ever need.
There are of course sacrifices to be made, but you’ll still get a pretty decent rear camera with16MP, f/2.2, Sony IMX 351 Sensor, ASUS SuperPixel Engine and PDAF.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro packs a 3,000 mAh battery and it comes available in 3 colours – Rouge Red, Sunlight Gold and Deepsea Black.
