Aopen , which is a brand by Acer Malaysia, has announced two new monitors that are suitable for both work and play, which is suiting for us since we’re working from home anyway. These new displays are actually pretty good – and Acer Malaysia is hosting two sessions of limited-time offers on both Shopee and Lazada too.
Aopen 32HC5QR
The new Aopen 32HC5QR is a curved monitor with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and also at 165Hz refresh rate, alongside with some other features to help us work in front of the screen for a longer period of time.
The spec of this monitor is pretty simple:
- 31.5-inch with 1800R curvature
- 1080p @ 165Hz
- 5ms GtG
- 8-bit color
- BlueLightShield technology
- Flickerless technology
- Adaptive-Sync support
By looking at the specs alone, this is looking to be a really competent monitor and offers a lot of features that would otherwise be considered as “premium”. Given that the price of this monitor at only RM839, the new Aopen 32HC5QR is a really good budget alternative for those who are working from home and still want to play games using the same display.
Aopen 24MV1YP
The smaller Aopen 24MV1YP actually has a lot more premium features compared to its bigger brethren. It comes with:
- 23.8-inch flat screen
- 1080p @ 165Hz
- 1ms TVR (Turbo Visual Response)
- 8-bit color
- BlueLightShield Technology
- Flickerless technology
- AMD FreeSync Premium support
Given the specs, the Aopen 24MV1YP is looking to be offering a lot more useful features – like AMD FreeSync Premium – but at a smaller display size. But, the price of this monitor is actually really good – at only RM599.
Promotional period
In conjunction with the arrival of Aopen, Acer is holding two limited time offer sessions on Lazada and Shopee. During these sessions, limited units of Aopen 32HC5QR are available at RM759 while the Aopen 24MV1YP are going for RM569. Acer is also giving out a free DisplayPort cable. The full-day Lazada Flash Sale will take place on 21 January 2021 start at 12 am while the 9-hour Shopee Shocking Sale will be starting from 12am until 9am on 22 January 2021.
Aside from that, Acer is also collaborating with select authorized resellers to reward Predator mouse pad (worth RM89) to customers who purchased Aopen 32HC5QR, while customers who purchased Aopen 24MV1YP will be rewarded with a DisplayPort cable and an Acer flask. The promotion runs from 21 to 25 January 2021 with limited units available.
