AMD has announced a collaboration with Sun Singapore Systems Pte. Ltd. to implement an advanced AI-based parking system. This system leverages AMD’s Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC devices to improve functionalities like license plate recognition, parking vacancy detection, lane jam monitoring, and more.

The new system utilizes PlanetSpark’s EdgeAI Box X7, powered by AMD’s Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoCs. This FPGA-based solution offers low latency, energy efficiency, and real-time AI processing at the network’s edge. Additionally, Aupera Technologies contributed to the development of FPGA firmware and AI vision solutions for accurate license plate recognition.

Sun Singapore emphasizes the advantages of the durability, low latency, and flexibility of the AMD FPGA-based solution. They believe this technology will allow them to introduce new features and improve services for their customers in the future.
