To begin with, the new BIOSTAR EdgeComp MS-N97 sports a compact, fanless design and runs on an Intel Alder Lake-N N97 processor, offering a solid mix of performance and energy efficiency. With four cores up to 3.6GHz and a low 12W TDP, it ensures quiet, continuous operation that is ideal for kiosks, vending machines, POS systems, and digital signage. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics also provides smooth visuals for interactive displays and live menus.
For connectivity, the system offers dual 2.5GbE Intel LAN ports, HDMI 2.0 and DP++ 1.4 for multi-display setups, along with four COM ports, six USB ports (including two USB 3.2 Gen 1), and expansion slots to support peripherals like scanners, payment terminals, printers, and smart cameras.
Furthermore, the EdgeComp MS-N97 meets the need with support for M.2 AI accelerators like MemryX and HAILO, enabling real-time analytics and automation at the edge. It pairs up to 16GB DDR5 RAM, NVMe/SATA storage, and a 9–24V DC input.
With operating support from 0°C to 60°C and 5% to 90% humidity, it ensures reliable performance in tough retail and industrial environments. Compatible with Windows 10/11, Windows IoT Enterprise, and Ubuntu 20.04, it offers flexible deployment across platforms.
