Last week, AMD has officially announced the AGESA 1202 motherboard BIOS update, allowing fellow brand partners to ship out their own firmware to users. Apparently, this is real good for a couple of Ryzen 9000 series SKUs.

Citing a report by Overclock.net, AMD’s latest AGESA update has finally solved the issue of latency in terms of inter-CCX communications which the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X and 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X suffer from.

Further testing shows that the 180ns latency is now in the range of 75ns. This means fewer CPU cycles are wasted due to the idling of data transfer period.

With brands slowly churning out their own updates with ASUS taking the lead as of now, gamers as well as latency-sensitive workloads are going to enjoy one heck of an update with this.
