Acer has revealed globally several new models that cover the budget and affordable line Nitro as well as the premium series Predator specifically the Helios Neo 14.

Predator Helios Neo 14 1

Let’s take a look at the Helios Neo 14 first. Chosen for the Team Blue + Team Green combo, it can go upwards of the Intel Ultra 9 185H + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU to go with a maximum of 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD so In short, this machine definitely belongs to the high-power gaming systems as the screen can be configured to run 3072×1920 resolution with 165Hz refresh rate with 100% sRGB color gamut and G-SYNC compatibility.

Under the hood is the 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan and Vortex Flow technology that runs a high volume of air through the vector heat pipes alongside liquid metal grease on the CPU for ample cooling while the range of Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E connection, wide range of I/O ports and microSD card suits the laptop up for not only gaming tasks but also various external gears and accessories.

It also comes with all the AI-powered features like PurifiedVoice 2.0 and PurifieidView that capture both video and audio with astounding clean quality and if you have questions, the new Copilot key is here to help you (Yes, gaming laptops are not the exception too). As usual, the PredatorSense application is here to give you a central hub for controlling fan speeds, RGB lighting, and whatnot.

Acer Nitro 16 1

On the other hand, the Nitro 16 opts for 14th Gen Intel Core i7-14700HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU together with 32GB RAM and 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD at max so definitely more value here as one may prefer to spend more on raw computing instead of a “built-in AI accelerator”.

Anyway, the screen can go up to 2560×1600 with 165Hz refresh and 100% sRGB color gamut while the thermal system is rocking a dual-fan, quad intake, and quad exhaust design to keep the CPU and GPU working at optimal temperatures.

The rest of the package contains the Copilot key, NitroSense software just like the PredatorSense in most cases, and a decent range of I/O ports.

Alternatively, if you want some Team Red action, you can go for up to the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS CPU instead with the rest of the components staying the same.

As for the smaller Nitro 14, it can go up to AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS plus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU + 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The screen is slightly “downgraded” to a 120Hz panel at the same 2560×1600 resolution. The rest of the specifications are similar.
