In conjunction with the Acer Day 2019 celebration on 3rd August, Acer Malaysia is launching the new Acer Aspire and PM161Q Portable Monitor to enhance entertainment without limitation.
Acer Aspire Series (2019)
The new Aspire 3 and 5 are now refreshed with a new smaller and lighter chassis. The internals is being upgraded with NVIDIA GeForce MX230 and MX250 dedicated graphics cards and up to Intel Core i7 processors. The Acer Aspire 3 and 5 come with 1TB HDD or 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD and 4GB DDR4 RAM which is upgradable up to 20GB and 32GB respectively.
The new Aspire 5, which has a 10% smaller footprint and is 16.7% lighter compared to its predecessor, is equipped with a 14-inch IPS FHD display that boasts narrow bezels for a greater visual experience. Featuring aluminium top cover to offer premium looks in a thin chassis weighing 1.45kg, the Aspire 5 enables users to work comfortably in any environment with the convenience of its backlit keyboard. Offered with 3 years warranty, the Aspire 5 is available immediately with Intel Core i7 for RM3,099.
At the same time, Acer Malaysia also announced that the Intel Core i5 and i3 variants of the Aspire 5 will be available in Pure Silver, Indigo Blue and Charcoal Black towards the end of August 2019. The Aspire 5 with Intel Core i5 is priced at RM2,499 while the price of the Intel Core i3 variant will be the announced once it reaches Malaysian shores.
Meanwhile, the new Aspire 3 comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD display and retails at RM2,399 in Obsidian Black, Indigo Blue and Rococo Red with immediate availability.
Acer PM161Q Portable Monitor
Maximizing performance on-the-go with a second screen is now more feasible with the ultra-light (0.97kg) and slim Acer PM161Q portable monitor. With a side profile of only 2 cm, it fits snugly into a laptop bag. Acer PM161Q portable monitor comes with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and offers up to 170° wide viewing angle. It makes for an outstanding portable solution for a second screen for work, study and presentation as it only requires hooking up to a laptop, tablet or smartphone via USB Type-C.
The Acer PM161Q comes with a protective sleeve and 3 years on-site warranty; it is available beginning September and is priced at RM599.
