Jacob Lee echoed a similar sentiment, noting that manufacturers face mounting pressure to improve productivity and competitiveness in increasingly complex operating environments. He said the challenge today is no longer about adopting technology itself, but integrating solutions that can generate tangible operational improvements, while industry showcases help businesses better understand how automation and intelligent technologies can be applied in real-world settings.

Alice Lee said discussions around AI are increasingly shifting from possibilities to implementation, with organizations now prioritizing technologies that can be integrated seamlessly into existing workflows while delivering measurable business impact. She added that RICOH’s focus is on helping businesses operationalize AI in practical and scalable ways across sectors ranging from logistics and manufacturing to inspection and workplace coordination, with the goal of building greater agility and long-term competitiveness.

The launch of the new AI solutions aligns with Malaysia’s broader industrial transformation efforts under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030, which aims to develop 3,000 smart factories through the adoption of automation, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies. And as organizations continue accelerating their digitalization and automation efforts, the showcase reflected a broader industry trend toward adopting intelligent technologies that can improve visibility, decision-making, and operational responsiveness while supporting more connected and adaptable ways of working.
