The SE880 external SSD itself is enclosed in an aluminium alloy chassis with plastic end caps.
The type-C port at one side. This is the differentiation point between the SD810 and SE880. The SD810 has a protective flap to achieve the IP68 rating.

First of all, the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 is a unique protocol that utilizes two lanes of USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) to achieve 20Gbps. Your host machine must have the capability to support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 else it will fall back to 10Gbps or worst 5Gbps. Nonetheless, on a supporting machine we manage to achieve the advertised read & write speeds.
