REDMAGIC, a Chinese brand normally known for its gaming smartphones and accessories, has announced its first-ever gaming monitor and yes the name is nothing but the most straightforward – REDMAGIC 4K Gaming Monitor.
The brand is going all out for its first attempt in the display market as the monitor is 4K resolution and has a 160Hz refresh rate so you’ll definitely need the best of the best to drive that much pixel at such speed for buttery smooth plus superior image quality. The IPS LCD panel is backlit by 2000 Mini-LEDs to give high levels of lighting control that achieves the requirement of HDR 1000 certification. The color gamut is also near perfect across 3 different profiles of sRGB, DCI-P3, and AdobeRGB – all at 99%. Gamers can also utilize the AMD FreeSync Premium for tearless gameplay while several preset scene modes are dedicated to categories like MOBA, FPS, Movie, and the 3 color profiles are available to switch around.
For those with a need for vertical portrait mode, the monitor can also be turned 90 degrees either clockwise or anti-clockwise. As for the I/O ports, there are 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DP 1.4, 2x USB-A, 1x USB-B, and 1x USB-C with 90W charging, data, and video transmission.
