Poly Studio has announced the new P series webcam products to level up your Work From Home experience with great cam and excellent sound input.
Designed with convenience in mind, the P series debuted 3 new items at the start and we’ll be going through them briefly.
First off the is P5, a small and convenient webcam that allows you to clip it onto your monitor for an easy setup. Easily capturing 1080p resolution footages, it can also perform digital zoom of up to 4X and comes with a privacy shutter for proper protection and also a directional microphone that picks up your voice easily. Most importantly, it is Plug-and-Play through USB and just works across devices without any additional drivers.
Next, the P15 is a slightly bigger video bar that is designed for more professional use cases and enthusiasts that seeks the best. Not only it comes with many Quality-of-Life features such as automatic framing and noise filtering to block out background noise, but it is also powerful to capture 4K video and the main body of the device is actually a speaker, eliminating the need for an external one if you wish so.
Lastly, the new P21 is a dedicated display that combines everything you need into a single package – Screen, webcam, speakers. Lightbars surrounding the chassis vaguely light up you and your environment to enable better conference footage and cross-compatibility means that it works on both Windows and Mac machines which is great for all sorts of use cases.
As a side note, the P5 also comes in a bundled offering aside from the individual edition. The bundle consists of either a Poly headset or Poly Sync portable speakerphone, 4 combinations of wired and wireless items from the Voyager and Poly Blackwire series.
On the software side of things, a new Poly Lens Desktop app will be provided to users to enable better remote workflows that offer users how to properly set up the webcams and tips on how to get a good angle during conferences – basically a companion program of some sort. Also debuting with the rest of the P series offers is the new Poly+ program – An add-on service with a 3-year extended product replacement guarantee, cross-platform sync among your devices with Poly Lens installed, and 24/7 tech support whenever you need it.
