After all the obvious leaks that’s been spreading like wild fire on the internet, the GTX 1660 Ti is finally here. NVIDIA has officially launched it’s latest GeForce GTX 1660 Ti that is based on the Turing TU116-400 GPU at the price of $279 USD.

The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
With absent of the RT and Tensor cores on the TU116-400 GPU, you won’t be able to access to the RTX features i.e DLSS (Tensor core dependent) and real-time Ray Tracing (RT core dependent) in any of the existing or upcoming RTX games. Though, you’ll still be able to access features such as Variable Rate Shading, Content Adaptive Shading, Motion Adaptive Shading and other features that is made available to the Turing architecture GPU.
As NVIDIA did specifically mentioned that SLI or NVLink option will only be available on its high-end GPU models (RTX 2080 or higher), you won’t be getting any of it on the GTX 1660 Ti. Despite the lack of RT and Tensor cores, the GTX 1660 Ti is still quite a powerhouse for 1080p gaming. NVIDIA did highlighted that the GTX 1660 Ti will have 1.5x more IPC, 1.4x more power efficient as compared to the existing GTX 1060 that uses the Pascal P106-100 GPU.
