The recent leaked specifications of the GTX 1060 3GB crushed the rumor which states that NVIDIA will be replacing its The GTX 1060 3GB with a GTX 1050 instead to compete against AMD’s Radeon RX 470. The confirmed GTX 1060 3GB will be in direct competition against the AMD Radeon RX 470 at the price of $199.  
According to the specs, the GTX 1060 3GB will not feature the same GP106-400 GPU with 1280 CUDA cores on the GTX 1060 6GB, but a GP106-300 GPU with 1152 CUDA cores instead..Other than the difference in the GPU used, the GTX 1060 3GB will retain pretty much all the basic features on the 6GB model i.e, 192-bit memory bus, 8GHz memory clock, 120W TDP and the 6-pin PCIe connector. .
While the specifications of the possible Founders Edition of the GTX 1060 3GB has yet to be announced, GALAX is seen to already have their own custom design which is expected to to be available later in September.
