A couple of days ago, the latest Metroidvania style mecha steampunk rodent game F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch has launched on PC, and thanks to the support from NVIDIA and Microsoft, the game is essentially loaded with the latest and greatest game tech around. Let’s see how they perform.

NVIDIA DLSS 4K Performance Mode FHD Quality Mode

While the game is supporting the full set of ray-traced reflections, global illumination, lighting, and caustics throughout the game, the NVIDIA DLSS is doing great work to elevate the overall experience by providing more frame rates without sacrificing graphical fidelity where both desktop and laptop users running the RTX 30 series GPUs are getting improved frame rates across the border in both 4K and FHD resolutions with either Performance or Quality profiles.

NVIDIA Reflex

Since the game is going to be focusing on utilizing the player’s skills and mechanics to progress the story, the lower the input latency, the faster the player’s response can be detected and reflected on screen, possibly saving the players from dangerous situations by a hair’s strand worth of frame difference. By utilizing the tech, up to 45% of latency can be reduced that is the most effective when applied to older cards such as the GTX 1660 Super.

To enjoy all of these goodies, just download and update to the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver while of course, owning a compatible NVIDIA GPU.
