Kingston is finally putting the “face of Kingston” back on its product, specifically the XS series of external SSDs that used to be a flat “mono color” drive that lacked a bit of spirit.

Kingston XS Series SSD Refresh (1)

Through this refresh, the iconic redhead mascot Rex is finally back in its prime seat to show the world that the XS series product is indeed a Kingston offering. Anyways, specs-wise, they are more or less the same, with the XS2000 delivering read speeds up to 2,000MB/s and capacities reaching 4TB, and is crafted for videographers on the go, thanks to the Apple ProRes format supporting direct video recording into the drive.

Whereas the XS1000 and XS1000R offer a practical balance of speed and portability, with up to 1,050MB/s read speeds and capacities up to 2TB. These models serve students, travelers, and hybrid professionals looking for reliable storage solutions for everyday use.

With this update, Kingston reinforces its role as a global leader in memory and storage, combining trusted performance with a modern visual identity aimed at empowering a broad range of users.
