MSI has unveiled the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36, a 34-inch 21:9 UWQHD 360Hz gaming monitor powered by a 5th-gen QD-OLED panel with an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout, while also confirming the return of its flagship MEG series with the AI-driven MEG X set to debut at CES 2026. Here’s a quick look at both.
MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36
To begin with, the new MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 boasts a 5th-generation QD-OLED panel with Tandem OLED technology and an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout, improving text clarity, reducing color fringing, and increasing panel durability with enhanced scratch resistance.
The PureBlack QD-OLED technology also minimizes reflections by absorbing ambient light within the panel, delivering stronger contrast and enhanced anti-glare performance. Plus, the monitor introduces HDR Curve Customization, allowing users to fine-tune HDR brightness across 14 adjustable points for more consistent visuals without sudden brightness shifts.
Rounding out the package is MSI’s OLED Care 3.0 AI Care Sensor, powered by an NPU-based IC, which detects real user presence to intelligently manage power and pixel refresh, helping prevent burn-in while processing all data locally for privacy.
MEG X
Moving on, the new MEG X builds on the foundation of the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 by introducing advanced AI-driven features designed to enhance gameplay. It analyzes on-screen visuals in real time without relying on game-specific support, allowing AI assistance to work across any title.
With six smart tools — including AI Tracker, AI Gauge, AI Vision+, AI Scene, AI Goggle, and AI Scope — players can activate assistance instantly to improve performance or ease newcomers into gameplay.
Complementing this is MSI’s AI Robot Lite, which enables hands-free control through simple voice commands, letting users adjust monitor functions or access PC settings quickly during intense gaming moments.
